The Hanging Church/ Church of the Virgin Mary, was built in the 9th-century to ‘hang’ high upon the walls of Babylon which was built by the Romans northeast of the old capital Memphis. We will have chance to have good lock for the Roman Fortress There are several other older churches, including the Church of St. Sergius, which was supposedly to be built upon the site of a crypt where the Holy Family (Jesus, Mary and Joseph) was sheltered during their time in Egypt.
Even further back in time is Ben Ezra Synagogue. This is the oldest synagogue in Cairo, founded in the 9th-century on what is claimed to be either the site where Prophet Moses has been found in the basket among the reeds.
